Tamil civilian abducted at Ragama near Colombo

A middle aged Tamil civilian, traveling with his mother from Trincomalee, on the Colombo bound train was abducted by unknown men at Ragama Railway station, 13 km northeast of Colombo, Wednesday early morning.

The victim has been identified as Kandasamy Kamaladas, 29, of Veala'nai East, Jaffna.

Recently, Kamaladas had gone with his mother to Kaankeasanthu'rai (KKS) to get in to Trincomalee bound ship. At KKS, he was questioned and checked by Sri Lankan forces and allowed to travel. After arriving in Trincomalee Tuesday, Sri Lankan Police personnel and unknown persons took him away, and later he was released.

The same day when Kamalathas was traveling to Colombo, he was abducted in the presence of his mother at Ragama Railway station.
