SLA bodies to be handed over

The state run radio said in its night broadcast today that about 650 Sri Lanka Army (SLA) soldiers were wounded in the counter attack by the Libertarian Tigers on Operation Rana Gossa 5. Independent sources in Colombo said that the figure could be much higher- more than seven hundred.

Meanwhile the Voice of Tigers (VoT) radio said that the bodies of 12 soldiers will be handed over to the SLA through the ICRC.

The radio also gave the names of the following Tigers who were killed in the fighting:


1.Lt.Santhi or Sathnini (Sinnarasa Suhanthi Jaffna)
2.Lt.Nantha (Sinnaiah Viji Trinco)
3.Lt.Ranjini (Sangar Indrani Nedunkerni)
4.Yoganathan (Sangaran Eeswaranathan, Kurunagala)
