Father recovers shot sons body

[TamilNet, Saturday, 27 December 1997, 23:59 GMT]
The father of Yogarajah Ramesh, the school boy who was shot dead by the SLA on Christmas day in Madduvil while reading an election poster, claimed the boys body today from the Jaffna hospital.

Mr. Muthuthamby Yogarajah, the father, said he works as the chief mechanic at the Pt. Pedro CTB bus depot.

"My son was studying at the Kaithady-Nunavil Government Tamil Mixed School (GTMS). He has sat for his GCE(OL) exam" lamented the father.

He produced for the hospital authorities a letter from the Kaithady-Nunavil GTMS principal stating that the boy was studying in the school.

The hospital released the boy's body to his father without delay.

The army claimed that he was an armed LTTE activist after he was shot dead.
